SNB hires UBS spokeswoman Susanne Mühlemann
Susanne Mühlemann, currently Head Strategic Communications UBS Switzerland, will become the new Head of Communications at the Swiss National Bank.
She will replace Werner Abegg, who will retire at the end of February 2017 after many years of service to the SNB, no later than March 1, 2017. The media spokesperson function will continue to be performed by Walter Meier and his deputy Silvia Oppliger.
According to the press release, Susanne Mühlemann is a proven communications expert with many years of experience. Susanne Mühlemann, born in 1968, studied political science at the University of St. Gallen. For 15 years, she held various positions in business journalism, including at Bilanz magazine, the Aargauer Zeitung/Mittelland Zeitung and as deputy editor-in-chief of SonntagsBlick. In 2010, she moved into corporate communications and became Team Leader External & Internal Communications at Swiss International Air Lines. She has held her current position at UBS since September 2014.
