The first step in the right direction

The Swiss Communication Association presented 57 new communication planners with their federal certificate in Bern on Friday.

Urs Schneider, Chairman of the Examination Board, congratulated the graduates and encouraged the young professionals to continue their training.

Of a total of 72 candidates from all over Switzerland, 82% from German-speaking Switzerland and 66% from French-speaking Switzerland passed the federal examination this year. They proved that they have mastered the three main subjects "Communication Planning", "Media" and "Production" even under pressure. In his graduation speech, Urs Schneider outlined the most important developments in the communications industry in recent years - from the invention of the Internet in 1993 to the launch of Google in 1998 and the first iPhone in 2007. He made it clear that these are not short-term trends, but lasting progress. It is therefore important to always stay "on the ball". With this professional examination, the newly qualified communication planners have taken the first step in the right direction. This opens the door to a varied career in the advertising market. He also entered the advertising industry a long time ago with this professional examination.

Flowers and gifts for the best

Four graduates from German-speaking Switzerland shone this year with an average grade of over 5.0. The best result in Switzerland was achieved by Nadine Kradolfer from Spiez with a strong final grade of 5.3, followed by Sara Hübscher (Zug) and Anja Roy (Schlierbach) in second place with a grade of 5.2. Dino Amantea from Baden also made it onto the podium with a score of 5.1. In French-speaking Switzerland, Diego Mediano from Lausanne achieved the best average of 4.9. The graduation ceremony took place at the traditional 5-star Hotel Schweizerhof in Bern. After the presentation of the certificates, those present were treated to an aperitif riche.

Change in the examination secretariat

After twelve years, Claudia Facchinetti is handing over the management of the examinations secretariat. Communication Switzerland would like to thank her most sincerely for her great commitment and prudent organization of the examinations. Marlene Gonçalves has already started work in her place. In future, she will support the candidates to the best of her ability and assist the two examination supervisors Roland Ehrler in German-speaking Switzerland and Michel Repond in French-speaking Switzerland. The next CP examinations will take place in spring 2017.
