Colorful is the new blue - Evoq develops the brand relaunch of UPC Switzerland and Austria

As a branding agency, Evoq is playing a key role in supporting UPC with the country-specific launch of the new brand, which was presented to the public and UPC employees in Switzerland on May 25, 2016.

After the then upc cablecom announced the rebranding of the regional organizations Switzerland/Austria in December 2015, the goal was to implement the entire new and cross-national brand identity by summer 2016. Evoq accompanied UPC as a consultant in all brand strategy issues for the new corporate design. The agency developed the CD manual with all design elements and was responsible for revising the logo.

Another focus was on the development of various media for the internal UPC launch: a brand book in four languages for employees in Switzerland and Austria, posters, and a 1,400-piece brand puzzle that employees at UPC Switzerland headquarters put together together. In this way, they are involved in the new brand identity right from the start.

"The colorful Bloom is the centerpiece of the new brand and symbolizes UPC's broad product portfolio and diverse entertainment offerings," says Ralf Löwe, Head of Strategic Planning and Head of Mandate UPC at Evoq. "We brought the corporate values "clear, open, fresh" tangibly to life with our implementations, laying the foundation for a successful brand presence. According to UPC, this was very well received by the employees overall," he says happily.
