HR Excellence Award: Swiss successes

The Human Resources Excellence Awards in Berlin are the most important event for honoring creative HR work in the German-speaking world. In addition to VBZ and Ruf Lanz, Die Post and Meta Design also won in 2015.

For the fourth time, VBZ and Ruf Lanz have won the coveted award for an exceptional HR campaign. This time in the category "SME Employer Branding Strategy". The winner was the campaign "Invisible VBZ Talents" (Werbewoche.ch reported). The background: Almost 1'000 of around 2'400 VBZ employees do not drive buses or streetcars and are barely visible to the public. Because VBZ wants to attract around 100 such invisible talents every year, Ruf Lanz put four of them at the center of its personnel campaign. The employees were painted with great attention to detail until they blended in with the Zurich cityscape.

This year, the employer branding strategy of Swiss Post, which Meta Design and HR Marketing at Swiss Post developed in close collaboration, also received an award. The concept includes a Group-wide, long-term internal branding initiative. The goal is to anchor Swiss Post's new vision and, in the long term, to change the external perception of Swiss Post as a modern and attractive employer. As a first step, an interactive engagement campaign was launched with an internal social media platform. In the campaign, employees generated content that is used as maximum credible evidence in external HR communication.
