SDV Award 2015: The Winners
At the weightless awards night in Zurich, the Swiss dialog marketing industry celebrated its sky-high winners. A total of 42 gold, silver and bronze awards were presented in 17 categories.
The advertising elite gathered at the Kongresshaus in Zurich on Friday to award the best of their guild. In total, the 26-member jury around the experienced captain Christian Huldi awarded 42 metal awards as well as 24 certificates. It was not only the award winners who were completely detached on this evening: amidst the space decorations, Melanie Winiger and Chris Hanselmann also presented as if from another star.
While Winiger maneuvered the award rocket as daringly as she was experienced through the universe of dialog marketing, her co-pilot Hanselmann also provided intergalactic entertainment with his guitar. After the awards ceremony, the exuberant advertising stars performed moonwalks to the music of DJ Luzius Wespe.
More prices, more gold
After the Gold Award was presented three times last year, it was received five times last Friday. 16 astronauts flew in silver, 21 bronze. The bottom line is that eight more trophies were awarded than in 2014. All winners in all categories are listed in the table at the end of the article.
The strongest force field in the advertising space was once again provided by the Limmat City. Y&R Group Switzerland is the most successful agency at this year's Dialog Marketing Award. The agency particularly shone with its compliments campaign for Migros' "I am" range and the relaunch of the Migipedia participation platform. The SDV Award jury's reward: 1 x gold and 1 x silver for "I am" and 2 x silver for Migipedia. The successful evening for Y&R Group Switzerland was rounded off with two bronze awards for the freefall campaign for Audi and the spam mail for the organization "Tischlein deck dich".
Agency at the airport breaks Zurich's dominance
One agency, however, was able to break the phalanx of Zurich's DM cracks: The St. Gallen agency at the airport collected, among other things, two silver and two bronze medals on its mission, which resulted in no less than thirteen points in the final ranking. After enjoying some time off last year, the agency was back in the game this year at the SDV Awards and was able to take no less than four prizes and three awards back to eastern Switzerland. The acquisition mailing "Immobilienmarkt aufgeräumt" for T. Ruggiero & Söhne was rewarded with silver. Also praised with silver was the somewhat different scatter mailing "Hüttengaudi im Milchkästli" for Seminarhotel Sempachersee. The creative team from Altenrhein won bronze for the "Chondebendigs-Meeling" for the Appenzell-based company Tubeforce and the "Weissbrief" for cleaning. The asbestos awareness mailing "An der Oberfläche gekrazt" for Suva, the agency's own advertising "Spendenmailing" and the "Chondebendings-Meeling" were also honored with a Letter of Distinction.
Double gold for Ringleader customer loyalty program from Havas
This year, the young unit Havas Digital was awarded gold at the SDV Awards for the customer loyalty program "Ringleader" in not one but two categories: Customer Loyalty Programs and Mailing B2B 2D. In addition, Havas Digital received two shortlist awards "Letter of Distinction" in the categories "Integrated Dialog Campaigns" and "Craft: Production" at the SDV Awards. The campaign has already received awards in recent weeks: in Germany with the DDV Award in Silver and the "Golden Award of Montreux" in Gold, as well as further shortlist nominations at the Best of Swiss Web Award and the German Prize for Online Communication.
The components of the success story: mysterious mailings, a talking website and exclusive events for the selected ring leaders. 1800 customers of an IT distributor received a personalized mailing with a specially developed iris to measure the size of their ring finger. The determined code enables access to the website Ringleader.ch. Where possible, the NFC ring was brought to the customer by drone.
Great success for small business: gold and bronze for Skiss
The communication agency Skiss from Emmenbrücke has won precious metal twice: Gold was awarded in the category "Craft: Production", bronze in the category "Mailing B2B (2D)". Skiss prevailed against established national players from advertising and communication, as the agency is pleased to announce in a press release. The elaborately handcrafted, personalized invitation to last year's Skiss Open Office called "Sightseeing Emmenbronx" convinced a top-class jury of experts with its creativity and professional implementation.

The medal table is calculated according to a point system. For example, a gold medal brings four points and a silver medal three points.
Back to the future
This year, too, young Ripleys and Major-Toms were allowed to send in their work and dream of reaching for the stars. The space race was finally won by Anouk Karrer and Vasco Bickel in an interplanetary collaboration: Karrer works as a junior copywriter at Maxomedia, Bickel as a graphic designer at Metzger Rottmann Bürge. Their cross-media campaign deals with the advertising of the future. As winners, the two will be allowed to work with SDV on the campaign for the 2016 award, thus gaining important experience.
Best Newcomer
Committed to astronomy, the SDV looks up to the firmament every year to discover new stars. This year, it sighted the Mehrwert agency, which is based in Baden. The "Fresh juice for conscious marketing" campaign and "On to the Mission Cloud" convinced the jury to such an extent that the shooting stars from Aargau were awarded the Post Prize for the best newcomer.
