Cannes Lions: Swiss Shortlists
The shortlists for the Cannes Lions 2015 are known in nine categories. Five Swiss agencies can hope for one or more stainless steel lions.
Unsurprisingly, Saatchi & Saatchi Geneva has secured no less than five shortlist spots with its campaign "The HIV+ Issue" for the Austrian magazine Vangardist. The special issue printed from HIV-positive blood has already been awarded two Silver Lions and one Bronze Lion at Lions Health 2015 (Werbewoche.ch reported) and has a good chance of winning further awards in Cannes.
The Zurich agency Freundliche Grüsse finds itself in the "PR" category: The sympathetic action, in which adult men could apply to be "run-in kids" for a Champions League match of the FCZ ladies, apparently also appealed to the jury.
Havas secured three shortlists, once in the "Oudoor" category for the Zurich Chamber Orchestra and twice in the "Press" category for the magazine Schweizer Monat.
In the same category, Leo Burnett also won with the Selfie artwork three times to the list of finalists.
Last but not least, the Walker agency is also in the running for the lions. With the campaign "A small Heaven" for the relief organization Mission 21, "the smallest agency in the world" convinced the jury. (hae)
