Managing Director of Mediapulse resigns after only one month

Another change at the top of Mediapulse: After just one month in office, Alice Baumann is stepping down as managing director of the research firm.

The reason was "different ideas about the management of the company," said company spokesman Nico Gurtner. He confirmed a report by the media portal Klein Report at the request of the news agency SDA. Gurtner did not provide further details on the departure and the succession plan on Wednesday. Baumann was introduced as Mediapulse's new managing director in mid-February (Werbewoche.ch reported). Mediapulse measures radio and television usage figures for all of Switzerland on behalf of the federal government. The data influence advertising prices and the fate of broadcasts. In early 2013, Mediapulse made headlines when doubts were raised about data collected after the company switched to a contemporary measurement system. (SDA/hae)
