Twitter study on SMEs on Twitter

A Twitter survey shows how potential customers find a company on Twitter and how they want to interact with it on the platform.

Twitter Germany conducted a 10-minute survey of 500 respondents who live in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, are on Twitter at least once a month and follow an SME on Twitter. On Thursday, the company presented the results of this survey. It shows that SMEs are seen on Twitter and also discovered via Twitter.

It seems that when potential customers find an SME on Twitter, they often perform actions that are beneficial to the company.

Followers want to learn more about new products (40%), get useful information (38%) and show support (37%) on Twitter - and they also want to interact with SMEs.
