Interactive video book on "Tatort Matterhorn"

The drama surrounding the first ascent of the Matterhorn 150 years ago can now also be experienced interactively: The Zurich-based studio Docmine has produced a video book for tablets from the footage of the SRF highlight "Tatort Matterhorn".

The video book "Tatort Matterhorn" (Crime Scene Matterhorn), which accompanies the TV broadcast, uses film sequences, interactive graphics and in-depth texts to tell the story of the drama that took place 150 years ago during the first ascent of the most prominent peak in the Alps. This gives the lavishly produced two-part documentary "Tatort Matterhorn" a further narrative dimension.

This video book is the third collaboration between Docmine and Swiss radio and television. It began with "The Swiss", also a docufiction. The video book "Carl Lutz - The Forgotten Hero" about the Swiss diplomat Carl Lutz, who saved more than 50,000 Jews from the Holocaust in Budapest, turned out to be an international success. The video book "Carl Lutz" received the award for the best German eBook at the last Frankfurt Book Fair and was voted "Best of App Store 2014" by Apple (Werbewoche.ch reported).

All videobooks are available in the "Videobooks" app for iPads and Android tablets. The first part of the videobook "Tatort Matterhorn" will also be available for download in this app at the same time as the broadcast. The second part of the videobook will be available on April 2.
