New Clear Channel online booking tool for SMEs

To enable more small and medium-sized companies to take advantage of outdoor advertising, Clear Channel is launching an online booking tool for easy campaign planning and poster booking.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) form the backbone of the Swiss economy. From bakeries to machine manufacturers to IT start-ups, SMEs make up the overwhelming majority of companies and provide two-thirds of the jobs in our country. They contribute significantly to entrepreneurial creativity, economic growth, and national prosperity. To make it easier for such companies to access billboard advertising, Clear Channel is launching an online booking tool for billboard campaigns.

SMEs have on this easy-to-use shopping platform Poster.ch the possibility to compile their poster campaigns themselves and book them online, according to a statement. The tool includes around 10,000 Clear Channel street and service station advertising spaces. The principle is: first come, first served - the availabilities of the respective poster sites are displayed in real time in the tool. The budget limit per order is CHF 25,000. So that SMEs can get a good picture of the billboard sites, the tool not only contains a photo of each advertising space, but you can also click on Google Street View to find out more about the location.

Oliver Schönfeld, Marketing Director Clear Channel Switzerland, explains: "Many SMEs advertise in their local daily newspaper or on local radio. They know these media and their representatives and are familiar with the processes of a booking. The situation is different with billboard advertising. Here, there is often the prejudice that billboard advertising is expensive and complicated: How does it work, where can I have a poster printed and where do I book a poster site? With our new online tool, we are deliberately targeting small and medium-sized companies to simplify their access to posters so that they too can benefit from the advantages of this unique medium and give their business new impetus."

And he adds: "Outdoor advertising can be geographically targeted precisely to the catchment area. Other media, such as radio or daily newspapers, often generate large scatter losses or in some cases have insufficient coverage of the desired catchment area, which in both cases is unsatisfactory and inefficient for the advertiser. Outdoor advertising is able to build up high advertising pressure and repeat contacts in a short time."

In addition to Switzerland, the tool will also be implemented in Belgium.
