UPC Cablecom: Bernard Strapp becomes media spokesman

Bernard Strapp joined UPC Cablecom's Corporate Communications team at the beginning of February 2015. He joins the company from Swiss Radio and Television SRF.

Strapp has worked at SRF since 2010 as project manager for communications and media spokesperson. This means that Bernard Strapp and Marc Maurer now form the media spokesperson team at upc cablecom.

Thanks to his many years as a media spokesman, Bernard Strapp has in-depth knowledge of the Swiss media landscape and brings with him a wealth of expertise in the field of entertainment and media, according to the press release. In addition to his role as media spokesman, Strapp was also responsible for "The Voice of Switzerland" and the "Eurovision Song Contest" at SRF, among other things as project manager for media relations. Bernard Strapp holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and organizational communication from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW).

As media spokesperson, he thus completes the external communications team at UPC Cablecom and will represent the company to the public. UPC Cablecom's Public Relations Switzerland department has been headed by Marc Maurer since September 2014. Roland Bischofberger has overall responsibility for corporate communications at UPC Cablecom and UPC Austria.
