Goldbach Interactive: App for Tamedia's Sunday titles

Goldbach Interactive has designed a web app for the titles Sonntagszeitung and Le Matin Dimanche, which belong to Tamedia, that allows readers to read the complete print content on their tablet or smartphone.

The online readership benefits from an expanded offering that supplements the print version with web-specific content. The app for the Sunday newspaper was successfully launched in the spring - and Le Matin Dimanche has now also been available digitally in a brand-new layout for a few days. The web app, designed and implemented by Goldbach Interactive, offers a consistent reading experience on all devices thanks to adaptive design. The app is equipped with the latest web technologies and implemented entirely in HTML5.

An important part of the developers' considerations was the use of the tablet. The device has become a standard tool with which readers consume news and entertainment. Consequently, the web app also makes optimal use of the possibilities of portable devices and offers everything a tablet user's heart desires with a swipe function, offline mode and touch screen.

In order to appeal equally to existing and new readers, the new online offering is simultaneously available in a PDF format based on the print layout and a specially developed online layout. The complete digital offering of the two Sunday titles is available in various subscriptions or as individual editions. Le Matin Dimanche also offers the magazines Femina, Télétop Matin and Encore! The content of the web app is fed by a sophisticated import of the content of the print edition: This is automatically converted after completion, supplemented as required with web-specific content such as image galleries or videos, and thus made available to users.

The new web app is intended to further strengthen the position of the two titles Sonntagszeitung and Le Matin Dimanche in the digital market.
