Best of Swiss Apps 2014 launched
After last year's premiere, the best apps in Switzerland will be honored for the second time on November 19. Projects can be submitted in eleven categories from now until September 15, 2014.
"Best of Swiss Apps" is entering its second round. For this year's competition, apps that have been newly created or revised in the last twelve months or will be in the next few weeks can now be submitted in the total of nine basic and two special categories.
At the award night on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, the winning projects will be honored and the outstanding "Master of Swiss Apps" will be selected at the Aura near Paradeplatz in Zurich. The projects submitted will go through a multi-stage judging process involving at least 6 jurors per category - a total of around 60 jury members - and, in the case of the master's choice, also the expert audience.
Many apps producers
Thanks to the success of app stores, the software industry is still in a gold-rush mood. In addition to the classic IT and web companies, dozens of new specialized companies are also producing hybrid and web apps. Because of the enormous global competition, app publishers often find it difficult to generate attention for a new app - no matter how good it is. The "Best of Swiss Apps Award" aims to give outstanding domestic apps the stage they deserve and ultimately need for success.
