Spinas: Looked closely at the jeans butt

Spina's Civil Voices continues the "See and Act" campaign of Bread for All and Swiss Catholic Lenten Fund, drawing attention to the problem of cheap clothing.

Behind the production of cheap clothing such as jeans is often the poisoning of people and nature in the cotton fields. Bread for All and Fastenopfer are jointly drawing attention to this deplorable state of affairs - and are entering the second year of the ecumenical campaign "See and Act" with the jeans posters.

The two aid organizations of the national churches are thus taking a closer look at another injustice that is fostered by local consumption. Here in the north, they are informing Swiss consumers about the interrelationships and encouraging them to take a closer look when shopping. In the South, the two organizations work together to promote organic cotton cultivation and support organizations that promote decent working conditions and living wages.
