Mobile internet use is still on the rise. In view of this rapidly growing market, Coupon Plus has expanded its portfolio and commissioned PR-KFS, Karl F. Schneider with the PR and communications work required for this.

Coupon Plus specializes in direct marketing on the web and on mobile devices. With mobile couponing in particular, the company has a sophisticated offering for generating leads and increasing frequency in online shops and retail stores. Coupon Plus is one of the leading companies in Switzerland when it comes to Passbook implementations. The Passbook app, which is pre-installed on all Apple devices, enables users to store cinema and boarding passes as well as other virtual objects in their mobile phones in addition to coupons. Each of these objects is equipped with a QR code that can be scanned on the spot. This greatly simplifies the boarding procedure at the airport with the smartphone, for example.

The PR and communications agency Open Up has been supporting the directory and service portal in PR and media relations since the beginning of the year. Within the framework of an agency evaluation, Tamedia's company decided in favour of the Zurich agency.
Open Up supports in all aspects of PR and media relations. The mandate includes strategic communications consulting, copywriting and operational support in media relations. Scholtysik & Partner: Signaletik won for new Life Science Campus


In a competitive process, the Basel-Stadt Building Authority and the University of Basel select the branding and design agency Scholtysik & Partner for the signage concept of the new Biozentrum of the University of Basel. The Biozentrum is the first building block of the large-scale Life Science Campus, which will further strengthen Basel's reputation as a leading international research centre for life sciences.

According to Mauro Pausa, project manager at the structural engineering office, Scholtysik & Partner convinced the client by linking classic, physical signage with orientation using personal digital devices such as smartphones and tablets. According to Donner Trepp, project manager and user experience designer at Scholtysik & Partner, spatial orientation using services such as Google Maps is so established and the technology so advanced that it can now also be successfully used for interior signage.

The striking building was designed by Ilg Santer Architekten. It houses several lecture halls, various seminar rooms, the new computer centre for the entire university as well as laboratories and workrooms for 40 research groups. Scholtysik & Partner worked closely with the architects. The aim is to achieve the best possible intuitive user guidance through the architecture itself and minimal signage interventions that do not detract from the character of the building.



Statement now also supports SBB



Statement is now supporting SBB with the launch of its upcoming European campaign in the area of brand and consumer activation. Alongside Contexta (ATL) and Maxomedia (online), the Zurich-based agency is responsible for all ideas and approaches relating to the creation of brand experiences and interactions with consumers on the street. "We chose Statement as additional reinforcement because the agency showed us creative, complementary ways and possibilities to the already planned classic communication", says Petra Thomann, Marketing/Communication of SBB.
