By the Way accompanies S3 on the way into space

by-the-way

When Swiss Space Systems begins its test flights into space in 2017, the Bern agency By the Way will play the co-pilot, so to speak. It accompanies the young and ambitious company in all aspects of communication.

With Swiss Space Systems (S3) based in Payerne, By the Way Communications was able to win over a company that is unique even by international standards. Founded in 2012, the company aims to develop and build suborbital shuttles in Payerne for the inexpensive and safe launch of small satellites weighing up to 250 kilograms. First test flights are planned for 2017; first commercial launches for 2018. S3 has partnerships with the European Space Agency (ESA) and Dassault Aviation, among others, and can draw on existing expertise from previous projects such as "Hermès" and "X-38". The company has a total budget of around 250 million Swiss francs until 2018. It currently employs around 50 people. The system developed by S3 will be used in this video illustrates.
