Parku: Roland Zeller becomes new COO

Roland Zeller is taking over the post of COO at Parku with immediate effect and is thus now responsible for the operational management of the parking broker in Switzerland. The 44-year-old was Managing Director of Travel.ch until the end of 2012.

With the signing of Roland Zeller, Parku is bringing on board an experienced manager and expert in the Internet industry: as founder of Travel.ch, the 44-year-old played a key role for twelve years in building up the online travel agency and expanding the portal of the same name abroad. Before deciding to leave the company at the end of last year and transferring all his holdings to the Hotelplan Group, Zeller led Travel.ch as CEO. As an independent business angel and consultant, the Internet pioneer has since devoted himself to the supervision of various start-up projects, according to the statement. He is a member of the board of directors of Getyourguide, which won the ICT Award in 2012, the recommendation network Buddybroker and the online network for farmers Agri Circle.

Zeller will play a central role in particular in the introduction of novel parking technologies, which will soon be presented to the public, and will support the start-up with his many years of experience in its further expansion, including outside Switzerland. As Managing Director of Parku Switzerland, the 44-year-old will from now on work hand in hand with Urs Fischer, who was appointed Parku's new CEO just last week and will be managing the start-up's fortunes from Berlin.
