Publicitas markets the new TV station S1

Publicitas is exclusively marketing the advertising of S1, the new Swiss television channel, which will initially go on air via UPC Cablecom's cable network in mid-October 2013. The marketing mandate includes spot advertising and sponsorship.

Chris Wittmer, Head of Cinema & TV, said in a press release on Friday: "We are delighted to be able to offer our customers another advertising opportunity in the growth market of moving images through our partnership with S1 and thus transport the messages of our advertising customers to a broad, TV-savvy target group."

Hardy Lussi, Managing Director of S1: "We see the Swiss-wide sales network and Publicitas' focus on a diversified media portfolio as a great opportunity for S1. We are delighted to be working with the leading Swiss advertising marketer."

The new TV channel S1 is aimed at the 35+ target group and offers the general public a full program with a focus on feature films, documentaries and numerous Swiss productions (Werbewoche.ch reported).

S1's advertising offering will be available in the publiplan booking and processing system and the MediaWizard forecasting, planning and reporting tool when bookings open in 2014 on November 25, 2013.
