Goldbach founds Swiss Radioworld

The Board of Directors of Goldbach Media has approved the establishment of Swiss Radioworld. As a result, Goldbach Media's radio unit will become an independent marketing company based in Wollishofen ZH.

There, as of July 1, 2013, Goldbach Interactive Zurich with Mobile and Wilmaa, in which the Goldbach Group holds a majority stake, with Wilmaa Digital World and Swiss Radioworld will be represented under one roof.

The foundation of Swiss Radioworld is intended to bundle the expertise that Goldbach Media has acquired to date as the marketer of all private radio stations in Switzerland and to take account of the growth potential of the radio genre, according to a statement. This is because the radio market is constantly evolving; new inventory is constantly being created that generates added value and more impact for the radio advertising franc. "For this reason, and so that radio marketing can be viewed in a focused manner, further expanded and staffed, our shareholders have approved the establishment of a separate AG. Goldbach is closely linked to the genre of radio because of its corporate history," explains Alexander Duphorn, CEO of Goldbach Media Switzerland.

For the employees of the previous radio unit, only the place of work and the formal employer will change as of July 1, 2013; in terms of function and remuneration, the employment relationship will remain unchanged. Marcel Bosshard, Director Corporate Marketing Goldbach Group, who is responsible for the move, adds: "We not only want to deliver top performance as a service provider to broadcasters, customers and partners, but also offer our employees an optimal working environment. We have now succeeded in doing so with the new workplaces at Wollishofen station, which, like in Küsnacht, are located directly on the lake."
