Ruf Lanz: Campaign against winter sports accidents

Suva wants to reduce the number of winter sports accidents. A campaign is designed to help. Ruf Lanz has realized it.

Due to more active leisure activities, there are significantly more non-occupational accidents than occupational accidents in Switzerland today. Many of these occur during sport. Around 30 percent of all sports accidents in Switzerland are winter sports accidents. Avoiding accidents on and off the slopes is therefore the aim of the current winter sports campaign from Suva's Suvaliv brand. The campaign appeals to the personal responsibility of winter sports enthusiasts to recognize their own limits and correctly assess the risk.

At the heart of the campaign is a TV commercial that celebrates the beauty of the Swiss mountains, as the agency writes in a press release. Only at the end of the commercial is the viewer shown a surprising twist: This beauty can only be enjoyed by those who don't risk too much.

The new Suva commercial was created by Ruf Lanz. The agency has been responsible for the multi-award-winning Suvaliv prevention campaigns since 2002. The commercial was realized in close collaboration with director Michael Fueter, the film production company Stories and the CGI specialists from Cloudscape. The commercial will be used in all three national languages from December 24. There will also be an English version for the Suva app.
