Planet: App to Lucerne

Sail across Lake Lucerne on the "Rütli" or discover a cave in the middle of the city with a swipe. This and more is contained in the free "App nach Luzern" for iPads, which was developed by the Lucerne agency Planet.

Eight excursion tips in the form of tours offer the population a wide variety of ideas for a Sunday excursion, for a haphazard winter day or for a get-together among friends, according to a statement. The Fairy Tale Tour, for example, takes families along the Witches' Staircase to the legendary Dragon Maze, revealing historical background information and insider tips. The city outskirts tour reveals unknown vantage points where the city can be enjoyed from a different perspective. The Circle of Friends Tour and the Latino Tour accompany a younger audience through Lucerne's nightlife and provide suggestions for an entertaining evening. Gottis and Göttis will also find input for an excursion with their godchild, should they run out of ideas for once.

According to the announcement, the app is intended to differentiate itself from the previously known city guides by presenting places that can be found away from the tourist crowds. The app has a playful visual design and invites users to discover a different side of the city of Lucerne. It is available free of charge in the Appstore is available for download. The app was created and programmed with Adobe DPS (Digital Publishing Suite) and Indesign CS5 to CS6.
