Swiss Star 2012 awards 14 packaging
The SVI held the Swiss Star packaging competition for the 43rd time. The field of participants represented the entire range of packaging materials: Corrugated cardboard, fine cardboard, plastic, metal and glass.
A new record was set with 61 packaging entries. After a two-day voting process in September, the jury nominated 24 packages and selected 13 winners. The Audience Award was also presented. Winning a Swiss Star enables participation in the World Stars.
Drinkdrab drinking bottle wins audience award
A total of 16 types of packaging were voted for by the public. The 2012 Audience Award went to the Drinkdrab drinking bottle from Traritrara GmbH - a size-adjustable packaging for drinking water. Similar to a hand organ, the bottle can be enlarged or reduced in size as required. Drinkdrab is made of 100 percent polypropylene.
The Swiss Packaging Institute SVI awards the Swiss Star for outstanding achievements in the packaging industry. The aim of the competition is to highlight the creativity and innovative strength of the Swiss packaging industry. The award is therefore the flagship of the industry.
