Google expands video advertising on Youtube

Google wants to attract more advertisers to YouTube. A new function will make it easier for them to book video campaigns with their own clips - any company can make it big, the company advertised in a company blog.

After several months of testing, "AdWords for Videos" is now available to everyone. Companies can use it to bid for advertising space for certain keywords and place ads in the environment of suitable content. They only pay when users click on the clips; they set the campaign budget themselves. Administration is done via the interface that companies can also use to place ads in Google's search engine. Video ads on Youtube increase hits on a website by an average of 20 percent, Google writes in its blog. (sda)
