Notch Interactive: Online hearing training designed for Sonova

In a pilot project in Austria, Sonova offers hearing training after every hearing aid purchase from Hansaton. Notch Interactive has implemented a platform for this purpose.

Modern hearing aids are small computers, the agency writes in a statement. They compensate for hearing loss in the vast majority of cases. Nevertheless, a modern hearing aid does not automatically improve hearing. In the case of hearing loss, the brain forgets over time how sounds and tones sound. In order for them to understand and not just hear, they have to learn again what something sounds like. In a pilot project in Austria, the Swiss hearing aid specialist Sonova therefore offers hearing training after every hearing aid purchase from Hansaton. This usually lasts four lessons and is conducted by specially trained acousticians. They are supported in their work by an interactive platform.

The platform was developed by Notch Interactive. On the one hand, the platform ensures a standardized process of the hearing training at the hearing coach. On the other hand, graduates of a hearing training course can log in again at home and repeat the various exercises, which is crucial for learning success.
