Syndicom: Improvement of the three largest CLAs

Syndicom wants to improve the three largest CLAs. At its delegates' meeting on Saturday, the media and communications union put the spotlight on the renewal and improvement of the three largest collective labor agreements in the industry - Swisscom, Swiss Post and the graphic arts industry.

The union demands that in the "highly profitable telecom industry" employees must share in the success. At Swiss Post, it is necessary to fight to ensure that employees are not subject to different rules, Syndicom wrote in a statement on Sunday. A "progressive CLA" should form the social umbrella for all postal employees. In the graphic arts industry, which has been hit hard by the strong franc, the media and communications union is discussing how the CLA can strengthen job security. Good working conditions, social security, the democratization of the working world and the protection of trade unionists are important to the union.

On Saturday, November 26, 2011, around 200 people met in Zurich for Syndicom's delegates' meeting. This was the first delegates' meeting since the merger of Comedia and the communications union in December 2010.
