Publicis brings the digital world to life for Nescafé

Under the motto "Get unplugged," Publicis is launching a new campaign for Nescafé at Sihlcity on Thursday that is all about bringing the digital world to life.

It starts with the event "Apps unplugged" - an event to amaze, laugh, participate and enjoy: with the legendary Walter Scheibli as a live ticker app, a sensational Fruit Ninja app that shreds your fruit salad live from the air, the cheeky Camera App and many more unplugged apps. The real apps are accompanied by Danish director Jonas Arnby and three camera teams from Solid & Hallerfilms. They film the actors, who have been cast in Switzerland and Los Angeles, entertaining passers-by in their app costumes and enriching them with live experiences. The footage will be used for the social media and TV campaign. At the Nescafé Switzerland Facebook fan page the community can follow the events and discussions surrounding the unplugged moments as well as the enjoyable coffee breaks. In the coming months, further events and activities will follow to raise awareness of the topic.

The background to the campaign: With apps, Facebook, Myspace, e-mail and the like, we are all constantly under power. That's why the conscious experience of authentic moments is becoming increasingly important. Nescafé therefore calls for "get unplugged," which means to enjoy the authenticity of the moment with all its aspects. The campaign encourages people to disconnect from their networked daily lives every now and then and experience stimulating, surprising unplugged moments. Nothing is better suited than Nescafé to briefly unplug from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and "unplug" with a good cup of self-made coffee.

Live at Sihlcity on Thursday, October 13 from 10 am.
