SDA with new logo - change in the Board of Directors

The Swiss Dispatch Agency SDA has refreshed its logo. The new appearance is intended to reflect modernity and dynamism.

As part of the new umbrella brand, the sda companies news, sports information, information technology and distribution will in future appear under a uniform logo. The name SDA is underlaid in each case with a bar that has a different color depending on the company. This was announced by the national news agency on Wednesday.

To emphasize the Swissness of SDA as a national news agency, the same red is used for the bar in the logo as for the Swiss flag. Under the bar, the words "Die Nachrichtenquelle" ("The news source") are written in each of the three national languages. The old logo dates back to the 1970s. It would have looked dusty due to the retro look, the agency continued in the statement. The new brand identity is intended to strengthen SDA's identity and its positioning in the media market. The new appearance was developed by the Lumina agency.
