Ruf Lanz/Hinderling Volkart: Virtual Asbestos House for Suva Pro

Ruf Lanz and Hinderling Volkart have developed a virtual asbestos house for Suva Pro to raise awareness of the asbestos issue among various target groups.

Although the use of asbestos has been banned in Switzerland since 1990, the asbestos hazard has still not been eliminated. Before 1990, asbestos was "installed" in Switzerland in large quantities. Many of the old buildings contaminated with asbestos are getting on in years and are in need of renovation, refurbishment or even demolition. Several hundred thousand employees in the construction industry are still at risk of coming into contact with this hazardous material.

Suva Pro has developed a virtual asbestos house for this purpose, which is intended to raise awareness and educate the various target groups (property owners, architects, engineers, contractors, construction workers) about the asbestos issue. At Suva.ch/asbesthaus typical sources of asbestos can be identified, the risks assessed and the correct action taken.

The virtual asbestos house was created in collaboration between Ruf Lanz (concept and layout), Hinderling Volkart (concept, visualization and technical implementation), Unic (technical implementation) and Suva Pro (overall responsibility).

Responsible at Suva Pro: Karin Aebi (communications consulting), Edgar Käslin, (campaign management), Urs Schaad (overall responsibility). Responsible at Ruf Lanz: Danielle Lanz, Markus Ruf (Creative Direction), Marcel Schläfle (Art Direction), Kristina Burch, Michael Gassler (Consulting). Responsible at Hinderling Volkart: Michael Hinderling (CD, Consulting), Michel Fernandez (Design), Severin Klaus (Development). Responsible at Unic: Gabriela Eymann (project manager), Pascal Mathys (technical manager).
