SBB hands over online and mobile marketing activities to Adextra

As part of the forthcoming relaunch of the portal, SBB has put the marketing activities out to tender. Following a selection process, Adextra was awarded the contract and is now responsible for marketing SBB's online and mobile channels.

With 40 million visitors and around 500 million page impressions per year, the online portal is one of the most frequented websites in Switzerland. The range of advertising formats includes traditional display advertising and promotional spaces in the SBB e-newsletter, which reaches over 400,000 subscribers. Marketing of the SBB mobile channels is also being planned. SBB's mobile offering includes apps on the iPhone, Android and Windows Phone 7 platforms. Adextra commenced its marketing activities in January 2011.
