The industry association Forum Corporate Publishing (FCP) founded the first European Institute for Corporate Publishing EICP at its general meeting on June 29, 2006. In addition to industry-specific training and further education as well as research, the institute focuses on consulting and marketing. The EICP's programs and projects are largely shaped by an independent, currently nine-member scientific board of trustees, which also includes Norbert Winistörfer from the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland. According to a communiqué, the EICP will provide the still young corporate publishing industry with a structure for the first time to comprehensively examine the decisive core areas scientifically. What is already a matter of course in old communication disciplines is to be created with the institute. At the same time, the CP market is currently experiencing a considerable upheaval: with the increasing diversification of new target groups, there is a need to communicate via new media forms. In a further step, the association's international partners are to be integrated into the institute's work. Within the European Corporate Publishing Forum, the FCP maintains close contact with CP associations and lead agencies from ten European countries. The FCP brings together more than 60 CP providers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. They offer services for all areas of corporate communication.
