The Museum für Kommunikation in Berlin shows an exhibition about WunderbareWerbeWelten

The Museum für Kommunikation in Berlin is showing an exhibition on WunderbareWerbeWeltenMakers, Brands and Mechanisms" is the subtitle to the exhibition "WunderbareWerbeWelten". The show at Berlin's Museum für Kommunikation is open until August 26.Advertising as commerce, art or ideological instrument: less historical than at the Musée de la publicité in Paris (WW 15/01), but more socially analytical, the history of advertising is documented in Berlin. Based on a concept by Helmut M. Bien and Angelika Kroll-Marth, the museum at Leipziger Strasse 16 presents a multi-layered and thus also didactic exhibition.
"The juxtaposition of the world of goods and the true world
has lost its explosiveness," as well as "The mobile possibilities of our lives and the global horizon have not only provided advertising with more and more play material, but have also opened up new options for its addressees," is how Joachim Kallinich, the director of the Museum of Communication in Berlin, summarizes the most important moods of his exhibition.

Other topics revolve around the areas of events, licenses, sponsoring, marketing, and "Advertising success thanks to deviation from the norm.
All these ideas, visualized in the exhibition with many objects and film clips, are presented simultaneously in a book. The 200-page exhibition catalog is not only illustrated with many important and rare documents.
The texts also include prominent voices of experts with highly topical thoughts, for example on everyday agency life at Scholz & Friends, the RTL story or analyses of the "medium as a brand" to the text "Schumi auf Tempo" or otherwise "celebrities in advertising".
