Schibsted suspends d-expansion The Norwegian publisher Schibsted does not plan to expand its free newspaper 20 Minuten from Cologne to other major German cities until the beginning of next year. The industry had previously assumed that Schibsted would launch new editions as early as May. No more @ in D company names In Germany, the special character @, also known as the bracket monkey, may not be registered as part of a company name. This ruling was made by the Munich Regional Court last week. According to the judges, a company name may not contain any characters that are not part of German spelling. As a result, the action brought by a company that had been refused entry in the commercial register by the Munich authorities was dismissed at second instance.
