The direct marketing department of Lowe Lintas GGK's advertising agency has become an independent subsidiary agency: Lowe Direct has set up shop on Stauffacherstrasse in Zurich under the management of Christian Hansen. The move from business unit to independent company comes as no surprise, but faster than expected. "When we set up the unit, we assumed it would take two years," says Hansen about the development of the unit, "but we have established ourselves unexpectedly quickly."
One and a half years after its foundation, Lowe Direct already has 15 employees. The team is to be expanded further by the end of the year. "First and foremost, we want to strengthen our position as a creative and innovative direct marketing agency," he explains. "The success of the first year and a half shows us that we are on the right track."
Lowe Direct will serve clients of Lowe Lintas GGK as well as its own mandates in order to distinguish itself as an independent company.
As part of the international expansion of Lowe Direct, the Managing Director also wants to look beyond Switzerland's borders in the longer term and seek international cooperation. The launch of Lowe Direct coincides with the departure of Fisch.Meier.Direct from the Lowe-Lintas Group (see also "In conversation" on page 37). (ba)
