Newspaper newsstand posters are usually content with the most important headlines, which the Aargauer Zeitung has found to be too dry. That is why it is now going one step further and is now advertising with visual stimuli on the poster. The cover story of the day is illustrated with a large-format photo that practically fills the entire poster. "This unique appearance for daily newspapers in Switzerland arouses emotions," says Tamara Tschuor, Head of Reader Marketing, emphasizing the benefits of the unconventional and eye-catching idea: The cutting-edge black and white press photo, including a coherent headline, is sent from the editorial office in Baden to the printing center in Aarau during the night. There, the kiosk poster is printed on both sides with the selected motif, on one side in A3 format and on the other twice in A4 format. The new kiosk appearance was realized together with the Lenzburg agency Bürgi & Partner.
