Publisuisse joins IGEM

A change of mood is taking place at Publisuisse:

Two years after the founding of the interest group for electronic media (IGEM) on the initiative of IP Multimedia, the advertising time marketer of the SRG broadcasters has now decided to join. The former Publisuisse director André Hofer had categorically refused to sit together with private broadcasters in one and the same interest group. Hofer's successor Ingrid Deltenre has no problem with this at all. "Being part of IGEM offers us a good opportunity to further consolidate our position as an active and innovative leader in the electronic advertising market and to be able to drive future development together with our market partners," she says.
Publisuisse also sees its role primarily in balancing the interests of SRG and private stations. This applies both to the new radio and TV law and to the ongoing development of planning and booking tools, as well as to all issues relating to audience research.
For its part, IGEM is participating in the optimization of the electronic TV planning tool "mediaoptimizer by publisuisse" as a first consequence of the new partnership.
After Publisuisse joined, IGEM now unites a total of 27 suppliers and buyers, making it the most important Swiss industry organization in the electronic media sector. (dse)
