KS/CS advertising exam: 71 out of 111 passed

For 64 percent of the total of 111 candidates, the federal advertising examination of KS/CS Kommunikation, was successful. This means that the communications market once again has new, certified professionals in communications, media and realization/production.

The best (from left to right): Janine Koller (second place, grade 5.2), Nicolas Preisig (third place, grade 5.1) and Vanja Dujakovic (best with grade 5.5).

For 64 percent of the total of 111 candidates from the German and French-speaking parts of Switzerland, the federal advertising examination, which is conducted by KS/CS Kommunikation, was successful this year. This means that the communications market once again has new, certified professionals in communications, media and realization/production.

With a success rate of 64 percent, this year can be considered a good year. Communication specialists are characterized by in-depth knowledge and skills in the three main subjects of communication, media (online and offline) and realization/production. No other education offers this broad mix of skills for entry-level marketing, advertising and communications professionals. Also, the clear selection between passing and failing have given this federal exam a reliable value for many years. That is why advertising companies, agencies and media providers value the practical skills of a federal communications specialist.

Practical exams

This year, for example, the candidates had to describe a positioning for a new product of Chocolats Camille Bloch SA in the written part, propose a media strategy for a new vegetarian burger chain or manage the spot production for an over-the-counter nasal spray in various digital channels. Likewise, the candidates had to demonstrate their learned competencies during the oral exams.

Three special highlights

The best exam result this year was achieved by Vanja Dujakovic with an excellent final grade of 5.5. She is followed in second and third place by Janine Koller with a grade of 5.2 and Nicolas Preisig with a grade of 5.1. After two years without handing over the certificates in person, this year the diploma ceremony will again be held physically on July 7.
