Sibylle Hänni joins the management of Bern Welcome as of August
As Head of Digital Marketing & Communications, 51-year-old Sibylle Hänni will strengthen the management of Bern Welcome from August 2023.
The Board of Directors of Bern Welcome has elected Sibylle Hänni as Head of Digital Marketing & Communications. She will take up her position on August 1, 2023 and will be a member of the Executive Board in her role.
Hänni grew up in the Bern area and still lives in the destination. After finishing business school, she earned a diploma as a PR consultant and a CAS in political communication at the Institute for Applied Media Sciences IAM. The 51-year-old gained experience in the fields of public relations, communications, marketing and branding - especially in integrated communications agencies. Sibylle Hänni is currently Head of Communication & Branding at Sanitized.
"With Sibylle Hänni, Bern Welcome gains an agile executive board member with many years of professional and leadership experience in digital marketing, communications, and branding and a broad network in the destination of Bern," Manuela Angst, chairwoman of the executive board of Bern Welcome, is quoted as saying in a statement.
According to the announcement, the destination organization is still looking for a Head of Leisure Tourism & Bern Tourism Network. "In times of pandemic, the two departments Leisure Tourism & Bern Network and Digital Marketing & Communications were merged for resource reasons. Now, fortunately, tourism in Bern is picking up again - the right time for us to separate the two departments again and thus strengthen both areas," Angst continues.
Until Sibylle Hänni takes up her post, Manuela Angst will continue to head the Digital Marketing & Communications and Leisure Tourism & Bern Tourism Network departments on an interim basis.
The Board of Directors of Bern Welcome has elected Roland Bättig, Head of Management Services and member of the Executive Board, as Manuela Angst's official deputy.
