Marco Rüegger becomes Chief Product Officer of the Blick Group

Marco Rüegger will become Chief Product Officer of the Blick Group at the beginning of December. Rüegger has been heading the division on an interim basis since August 1 and will now join the Executive Board as a permanent member.

Marco Rüegger, 43, will take over as the new Chief Product Officer of the Blick Group at the beginning of December. Rüegger has already been heading the division ad interim since August. He succeeds Katia Murmann, who left the Blick Group at the end of July. (Werbewoche.ch reported).

Rüegger studied Computer Science at ETH Zurich and graduated with a Master's degree. He later supplemented his technical background with an MBA from the University of St. Gallen. Before joining the Blick Group, Rüegger spent more than ten years at companies such as the Haufe Group and Swisscom as a product manager responsible for various products in an international environment. In his new role as CPO, he will be responsible for the entire product and technology area of the Blick Group as a member of the Executive Board.

"Marco Rüegger is an absolute team player who understands and lives the product area as the linchpin of technology, content and business."

The Executive Board of the Blick Group consists of Ladina Heimgartner (CEO), Christian Dorer (Editor-in-Chief Blick Group and Deputy CEO), Roman Sigrist (Chief Operating Officer), Max Buder (Chief Commercial Officer) and Marco Rüegger (Chief Product Officer).
