Mathias Rösch has been working in responsible positions at the agency for 14 years and shaped the agency's path in the past five years in the executive board together with creative director Christian Vosshagen and CEO Tobias Händler. "I am very excited about the task of continuing to write our success story as the "smallest big agency in Switzerland" - together with our well-rehearsed Swiss team in Zurich as well as in a cross-location power play with the Friends of the Scholz & Friends Family in Germany," says Mathias Rösch.
Tobias Händler moves to the Board of Directors. In his new position, he will continue to look after the expansion of the agency and remain active on a sporadic basis on client mandates. "Scholz & Friends has had an extraordinary impact on my entire career and on me as a person. Now I would like to reorient myself and am looking forward to new challenges. I am very pleased to hand over the operational management of Scholz & Friends Zurich to Mathias," said Händler. He started his career at Scholz & Friends in 2006 in Berlin and Hamburg and moved to Zurich in 2010. After a five-year hiatus at Sunrise, most recently as Head of Brand Strategy and Marketing Communications, he returned to Scholz & Friends in 2016 as CEO of the Swiss office. Under his leadership, the agency repositioned itself and won important mandates in the media, retail, telecommunications, automotive, FMCG and public sector sectors.
Scholz & Friends management team is expanded
Mathias Rösch will be succeeded on July 1 by Ella Papadakis as Client Service Director and member of the Executive Board of Scholz & Friends Switzerland. Previously, as Group Account Director at Wirz, she has been in charge of the Migros mandate, including all brand management, since winning the pitch in April 2020.
Also newly appointed to the management team is Creative Director David Fischer. The creative already worked for the agency group from 2003 to 2013 and returned to Scholz & Friends Zurich in 2018 after stints at Publicis and Leo Burnett. Since then, he has been heading the agency's creative department together with Christian Vosshagen.
