Telebasel fills another key position: Nicolas Bieri becomes head of the convergent newsroom, which is currently being set up. "We are convinced that we have made an excellent choice in Nicolas Bieri," editor-in-chief Philippe Chappuis was quoted as saying in a statement. "His experience as an accomplished VJ and feature writer, as well as the fact that he knows Telebasel and its team very well, will help him master the challenging task of managing day-to-day journalistic operations."

The 32-year-old from Basel-Land joined Telebasel in 2015. In addition to his central function as a report producer, he also worked as a presenter on talk shows and during elections. He has been a member of the program management team for three years.

Bieri is a trained businessman and has a bachelor's degree in journalism and organizational communication. After graduating, he worked as a video journalist for the Blick sports editorial team, among other things.
