SRF: New head of talks for "Tagesgespräch

In the summer of 2022, Karoline Arn and David Karasek will take over the role of interview leaders at "Tagesgespräch". They succeed Barbara Peter and Marc Lehmann, who are taking up new careers.

Karoline Arn, 53, graduated from the University of Bern as a historian. As part of her postgraduate studies in journalism at the MAZ, she completed an internship at Radio SRF's Regional Journal Bern Fribourg Valais. From 2002, she worked for the consumer program "Espresso" and then in the regional editorial office Bern Fribourg Valais, before joining the domestic editorial office in 2010. She was then producer and deputy head of the editorial department at "Rendez-vous" and during this time also acted as chief of staff and even then as head of talks at "Tagesgespräch". Arn is the author of non-fiction books and director of documentary films. After a stint in the federal administration, she is now returning to SRF.

David Karasek graduated in journalism from the MAZ and holds a master's degree in political science from the University Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. The 44-year-old worked as a freelance journalist in Colombia from 2015 to 2018 - including for SRF. Previously, he worked at Radio Zürisee, at Radio 24, at Radio 1 and as a presenter of the talk show "Talk Täglich" at Tele Züri. Back in Switzerland, he was initially a producer at Radio SRF 4 News from 2018. Since the beginning of 2021, he has been reporting on South America for Radio SRF and News Digital as a travel correspondent.
