Susanne Brunner becomes head of foreign operations at Radio SRF

In the future, Susanne Brunner will head the foreign editorial department and thus also the foreign correspondent network of Radio SRF. She will succeed Marco Kauffmann in Bern in late summer 2022.

57-year-old Susanne Brunner studied journalism in Ottawa, Canada, and then joined what was then DRS 3 in 1986, initially as a presenter and editor, including for the in-depth programs "Input" and "Focus. Later, she also gained television experience as a reporter on "10 vor 10.

In 2000, Susanne Brunner moved to San Francisco, taking over one of Radio SRF's two USA correspondent positions. After a brief period as Romandie correspondent, she joined "Tagesgespräch" in 2007, where she was head of talks for eleven years.

In 2018, the Glarus native moved abroad again, to Amman, where she took over the Middle East post. In the late summer of 2022, she will succeed Marco Kauffmann in Bern, who is retiring. NZZ changes.
