With Melanie Reinwald, a proven management and marketing expert will take over the leadership of the marketing department, writes BMW Switzerland in a statement on Tuesday. The future Director Marketing BMW has already been working for the BMW Group since 2002.
After holding positions in aftersales, brand and process management, Reinwald was responsible for establishing online sales processes, among other things. From 2015 to 2018, she headed the Marketing and Customer Relationship department at BMW Automotive Finance in Beijing. Since February 2018, she has headed the Marketing and Sales Services department at BMW Financial Services in Switzerland.
"We are delighted that we have been able to recruit Melanie Reinwald, an experienced and competent connoisseur of the brand and expert in the field of marketing and customer orientation, to fill the vacant position on our Executive Board," explains Paul de Courtois, President & CEO of BMW Switzerland.
Reinwald succeeds Stéphanie Borge, who will leave the company at her own request at the end of June after around six years and take on a new challenge, according to a statement. The realignment of the marketing strategy and the development of new sales models had characterized Borge's tenure as director of brand management at BMW. "Stéphanie Borge has been instrumental in modernizing our sales activities," de Courtois said. "In particular, the transformation from a product-centric to a customer-centric orientation of all processes contributed significantly to the successful development of the BMW brand in Switzerland."
