Silvia Binggeli becomes Editor-in-Chief of Schweizer Illustrierte

Silvia Binggeli will become the new Editor-in-Chief of Schweizer Illustrierte on February 1, 2022. The former Annabelle Editor-in-Chief will take over the reins of the magazine from the current Co-Editor-in-Chief, consisting of Werner De Schepper and Nina Siegrist.

De Schepper has been in this role since 2015 and Siegrist since 2020 for the Swiss Illustrated as Ringier Axel Springer Switzerland announced on Tuesday.

From 2013 to 2019, the 49-year-old Binggeli was editor-in-chief of the Annabelle, she previously held various positions at the magazine. For the Swiss Illustrated she worked as an editor from 1997 to 1999.

"With many years of experience and a broad network, Silvia Binggeli is ideally suited for the challenging task," Alexander Theobald, CEO of Ringier Axel Springer Switzerland, is quoted as saying in the statement. Bingelli is to lead the Swiss Illustrated in terms of both journalism and personnel. The editorial team currently has 48 permanent employees.

De Schepper remains at Ringier

De Schepper will continue to work for Ringier, according to the statement. He will be chief author of consumer magazines and will be responsible for publishing projects of the publishing house in the future.

Siegrist had also been offered another management position within the company. However, talks about her future activities are still ongoing. (SDA)
