Sigrun Albert to leave NZZ in spring 2022

Sigrun Albert, Chief Product Officer and member of the Executive Board of NZZ, has decided to take on a new professional challenge and leave the company. She will be moving to the Federal Association of Digital Publishers and Newspaper Publishers (BDZV) in Berlin as of April 2022, where she will take over as Chief Executive Officer.

Sigrun Albert joined the company in August 2019. NZZ a (Werbewoche.ch reported). As Chief Product Officer and member of the Executive Board, she has since been responsible for the development and management of the entire product portfolio. In addition, she is responsible for managing the Zurich Film Festival and the construction information service Bindexis, and also serves as a board member for CH Media as well as Architonic, the online community for architecture and design.

"Sigrun Albert has successfully developed the Products division. She has created a high-performance, results-oriented organization and consistently driven the development of strategic roadmaps and new agile processes," lets Felix Graf, CEO of the NZZ, quoted in a statement. "At the same time, she and her team have developed products that appeal to new target groups in particular."

Considerations for a successor are underway, according to the statement.
