Larissa Rhyn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with a major in Political Science from the University of Zurich. She completed her Master's in International Affairs with a focus on security policy and peace and conflict studies at the Institut de Hautes Etudes Internationales et du Développement (IHEID) in Geneva in 2017. The Zurich native started her career in journalism at the Südostschweizwhere she worked as a freelance journalist for three years from spring 2012.
After professional detours - including a stint at the FDFA, where she worked for the Swiss Embassy in Madrid, and the Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding in Geneva - Larissa Rhyn returned to journalism in 2018 with an internship at "SRF Tagesschau". At the beginning of 2019, she then switched to a traineeship at the NZZ. For two years she has been responsible for the New Zurich Newspaper as editor of the Federal Parliament. In September 2021, she will return to SRF, where she will join the Federal Parliament TV editorial team in Bern.
