The 43-year-old is responsible for the ongoing development of the CAS Media Relations course, for the compact course in media relations and for other continuing education seminars in the field of corporate communications. "With Matthias Meyer, we have been able to gain a proven communications professional from the world of technology, who will further strengthen our diverse offerings with his expertise and entrepreneurial experience. Matthias Meyer studied communication sciences and journalism at the University of Fribourg. For the past 13 years, he has built up and managed corporate communications at Google Switzerland (Werbewoche.ch reported). Meyer was responsible for all communication measures, which included strategic campaigns, crisis communication, datatelling and collaboration with social influencers. In addition to this strategic role, he worked on professional assignments at Google's headquarters in Mountain View and at Google in Paris in corporate communications.
"Corporate communication is going digital. This means that companies are facing new challenges in their media work. It appeals to me to help shape the continuing education of communications experts. And I'm looking forward to being a lecturer myself," says the Lucerne native. In addition to his new role as Head of Media Relations Studies at the MAZ, Meyer will in future offer solution-oriented coaching for companies in a digital world with his own company.
