Fantoche director Annette Schindler resigns
The Fantoche international animation film festival will have a new director as of October 2021. After crossing the "magic threshold of ten years", Annette Schindler wants to invest more time in her cultural education mandates after the edition on the theme of "Un monde fragile".
The director, who took over as artistic director in 2012 and overall director in 2013, succeeded in increasing admissions by more than 25 percent and strengthening the festival's importance, a communiqué said Tuesday.
Under her leadership, the festival has not only undergone a digital transformation and reduced its environmental footprint, but has also begun communicating in three languages and increasing the number of filmmakers, jurors and other staff involved.
