Büchi is leaving the company at his own request to take on new professional challenges in the future, according to the statement. His current deputy, Pascal Frei, will take over on an interim basis from July 1. Büchi will accompany the handover process over the next few months.

Büchi has developed the former local radio station into a leading entertainment group, Ringier CEO Marc Walder is quoted as saying. The Energy Group includes the radio stations of the same name in Basel, Bern and Zurich. According to its own figures, the radio group reaches 721,000 listeners daily on FM and DAB+.

Dani Büchi has also been responsible for the relaunch and implementation of the Moon&Stars music festival at the Piazza Grande in Locarno for three years. He has also been responsible for numerous corporate events for Ringier and its partners. (SDA/swi)
