Walter Jung becomes new HR Director at Hotelplan Group
Per 1. November 2020 übernimmt Walter Jung die Leitung des Personaldepartements von Hotelplan Group. Er löst damit Lukas Zurkinden, Director Human Resources & Facilities Hotelplan Group, in seiner Position ab.
The 51-year-old trained businessman has worked for the last seven years as Head of Talent Management & Recruiting for the Migros Zurich Cooperative. Prior to that, Walter Jung worked for a management consultancy specializing in human capital management and as a project manager for management and compensation systems at the Federation of Migros Cooperatives. He holds master's degrees in HR Leadership and Organizational Consultancy.
In his position, Jung will become a member of the Executive Board of Hotelplan Suisse and will thus report directly to Daniel Bühlmann, COO Hotelplan Suisse.
The current holder of the position, Lukas Zurkinden, will temporarily take over as Head of HR Retail on January 1, 2021, after familiarizing himself with his successor, in order to leave the company at his own request in the course of the coming year once this position has been filled. He will thus replace Rita Braunschweiger on an interim basis, who joined Hotelplan Suisse in 2008 as the then Head of HR Travelhouse and will now retire on January 1, 2021. In addition to the branches, that HR area includes the units Tourisme pour Tous and bta first Travel.
